♡ MagicalGirlCafe Review ♡

one of my old friends from high school, Monique, started up a decoden shop called Magical Girl Cafe a while ago! these are everything I've received from her so far! each phone case came in a cute little goodie bag, which she also packages with little stickers, her business card, and even a little letter (not included in photo). you can tell she puts a lot of thought and care into the entire package she sends out because she really wants to ensure happiness and cuteness when the customer opens everything hehe ; u ;

for my birthday Monique was sweet enough to make me a few cases! I personally asked her if she was able to make me some hair clips, which I was inspired to wear from fairy kei fashion, and she experimented with it and they came out extremely cute. this was the first case she gave me along with my absolute favorite hairclips from the pack of them.

this was another case she made me for my birthday!! it was in september, a month before halloween, and as she knows I'm all about that creepy pastel life ;u; this has to be one of my top favorite phone cases ever because I am a sucker for pastel goth type things since it's basically a mixture of all the things I like combined. the eyeball bow reminds me of kyary pamyu pamyu, my queen. the bats and moon were also a part of the pack of hairclips she custom made for me and I love them so much.

this Nico case was probably the one I used the most out of all so far, which is why her head is a bit worn out (oops), but nonetheless, her cases are really good quality and durable. I've dropped my phone several times because I'm clumsy and they've never come off or broken at all! even though people might think these cases are just for lookin' cute, I've never had a problem with them protecting my phone. she gave me the Maki keychain bc NicoMaki is my everything!!

these are the newest cases I've received and my favorite ones by far! I actually had the pleasure of going to her house to experience behind the scenes of her deco shop and got to pick the layout of my case. it was really sweet being able to see behind the scenes of her shop and how things were made. her and her friend Raisa actually taught April and I how to make our own keychains (which I forgot to include in the photo again ;___;) and it was a lot of fun!! Monique let me put my purikura on a waterfall case, which I thought was an extremely cute and unique idea and I'm in love with how it came out. the neko paw keychain is probably my favorite keychain I've ever had, isn't it adorable? and the rilakkuma rosette badge in this photo was the first one she made, and I had to pleasure of testing it and wearing it out! it's a really cute accessory if you want to add a deco, pastel touch to your wardrobe! ^^

overall, MagicalGirlCafe has provided 10/10 customer service, quality in products, and care! I definitely recommend her shop for deco products. she has a variety of phone cases, hair clips, rosette badges, and even san-x merchandise that include plushies, stationary, and cute lil trinkets! she takes the time to add cute little things and writes little notes for every order, which I think is really thoughtful. get some cute things today from MagicalGirlCafe and don't forget to use the code "kotobukii" for 10% off your entire purchase!! ♡♡

Christmas wishlist ♡

I divided my Christmas wishlist this year into different categories -- but these are the main things I want!

♡ Make-up

these are things I've been wanting from too faced from so long!! the links are fom hsn because they have cheaper deals and the items are sold out on too faced's actual website ;; the 5-pieced collection is priority to me because it's a really cheap bundle for what it offers! ;u;

♡ Clothes

I listed these in order of how badly I want them, starting with the oni boy sweater! he reminds me of marshall lee which is why I think I love it so much heh ;u; (I like size medium bc it's the perfect amount of being oversized, just in case my santas wanna kno :^))) )

I don't expect to get any of these bc they're so pricey but I wanted to add them on here anyway and I hope to get them overtime! I'd get size smalls for all of these ;;

♡ Shoes

I fell completely in love with the three of these pastel pink shoes when I saw them and majority of my outfits would go so well with them ahhHH ;; I'm a size 8 if santa wants to know ~~

♡ Pink Fujifilm Instax

I had a white instax mini that I originally sold to purchase this one, but I never got the chance to get it and I've been so sad without a polaroid camera ;n; the bunny selfie lens adds on as a cute little accessory for the camera and provides a mirror to take selfies! ; v ; cute right??

some cute film to go with it:

and pastel polka dots or stripes would be cute too ; 3 ;

Anime Expo 2015 ♡

 This year was I think my 5th year attending Anime Expo, but my first year going full out in cosplay and being more involved in the events going around me, so here's a post to commemorate my experience! I'll start off with my absolute favorite cosplays I saw:

most of these are pretty known but I don't think I need to label them, but I've been wanting to do a Raven cosplay for so long so this one in particular was really inspiring!

Final Fantasy VII was one of the most significant elements of my childhood, so anything that has to do with it gets me excited hehe. I've been in love with Cloud Strife for as long as I remember and I usually take photos of all the good ones I see, but I saw this one in a group and I was AMAZED. (they're missing Zack though, sobbu ;;)

my favorite booth at AX this year was the Gudetama booth!!! Gudetama has already become my favorite Sanrio character so seeing a booth dedicated to him made me so happy omg. the workers told me that more of his merchandise will be coming this holiday season! the third photo shows the outfits they wore working at that booth and I'd just love to make my own honestly. the second photo is my bff Megan n I imitating the lazy egg, we were making screeching noises while taking that photo lol.

second favorite booth was the Rilakkuma one! I bought a few small things from there, which I will be posting in my blog post after this - my AX2015 haul! it was basically a Rilakkuma themed bedroom and living room, I was so in love with it n I want to live there.

I took this photo with the free Rilakkuma fan they were handing out to enter in a contest to win a Rilakkuma selfie-stick heh. sadly, I did not win :c but I really like how the photo came out and I'm casually fanning myself in my cosplay.

as shown in the previous photo, my cosplay was maid Azunyan from K-On! I wore this on Friday, day two of the con. Mugi is my actual favorite character from the anime, but I felt I looked like Azunyan more, and I already owned parts of the cosplay so I put her character and a maid together. like I said earlier, it was my first time ever being in full cosplay so that was a bit exciting. the cosplay floor was crazy and I'm not sure how to feel about all of the people taking photos of me yet. but I plan on working on so much more cosplay, even just for fun.

one of my closest friends April was a really cute Super Sonico ^w^ we stayed together for the con with our boyfriends and I'm happy to say it's made us closer than ever hehe ~

I made Ryan go in the Fakku booth for me while I hung out with Megan and he took photos of the skateboards -- I want them all ;n; I love the omocat one but I don't think it was for sale ;;

one of my favorite things about the Rilakkuma booth was the cute galaxy mirror ;u;

Saturday of the convention, Ryan and I wore Poko-chan and Peko-chan shirts! I've gotten really close to Chuuu~ the girl who made these, she makes cute things for her shop FANGRRLZ with a few of my other favorite artists. her booth will always be my favorite at AX
here's her instagram / tumblr / storenvy

Megan and Gus showed Ryan and me the room with all of the photo sets, it was my first time going there after all these years! the classroom Ryan and I were in was a part of it, along with this big jumpy bin of colorful balls. Megan n I had so much fun playing around in them, I love her so much!

Anime Expo ended on July 4th, so of course my boyfriend and my friends and I ended the weekend with a fun celebration with fireworks n sparklers. I had SO much fun and we can't wait to plan out next year's conventions!!

That was my Anime Expo 2015, stay tuned for my con haul post!! ( ^   ^ )

adventure day/review!

I went on an adventure with my boyfriend and he took cute photos of me so I could show you guys a few of my recent purchases and my favorite bakery by my apartment!

The bakery is called Merely Sweets and it's located in Downtown Brea, which is just straight down one road from my apartment. I can honestly say out of the several (this word being an understatement) macarons I've eaten in my life, their green tea macarons have to be the most quality ones. I also get salted caramel, pistachio, and coffee from here and they are rich in cream! I would like to try more but the green tea and salted caramel will forever have my heart. If I'm ever craving those flavors, this place is my go-to bakery! I haven't tried any of the pastries yet but the presentation is honestly so pretty and cute, it looks really yummy!

tea party blouse: 10/10
this blouse is made of a material similar to chiffon, but it's a lot softer and it's really comfortable! It has a peter pan collar and a blue bow. Since I tucked it in my skirt, you can't see the bottom of the it but it's long enough to even fit like a dress, and there's a tea pot outline embroidered on it. It's super cute and reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, and looks a lot better in person than it does in photos!
 denim skirt: 10/10
I got this circle skirt from American Apparel a long time ago, but I've had friends ask me about American Apparel's clothing! I own 9 skirts from there so far, and if that doesn't tell you about the quality of their clothes I don't know what else does. they can get a bit pricey but you get what you pay for, everything I own there has been used several times but it has kept the same condition. their circle skirts are my absolute favorite!
 bag: 7/10
this kitty bag was a little bulkier than I expected it to be, but it's still cute! there's a lot of room in it, but it's a little stiff to open. it's still really cute, but I gave it a 7 because of the stiffness, and I don't really like gold-chained bags.
I am absolutely in LOVE with these flats. it was my first time purchasing from bodyline and I was really skeptical about it at first, but after this pair I plan on purchasing so much more! I didn't give it a full 10 because they are painful to break into... I got blisters the first day I wore them, but honestly that happens to me every time I break into new shoes :c they are a little stiff when you wear them at first, but after that they are completely comfortable and super cute. another reason I didn't give it a full 10 was because they scuff/scratch easily, so you have to be extra careful when wearing them! other than that, they are probably my new favorite pair of flats.
